Happy 4th of July!

Today is the day that we as Americans celebrate our freedom from the British. I'll be donning red, white, and blue, and be happy to live in this country.

I know I complain about the government sometimes, as well as their right wing policies, but I really am blessed to live in a country where I can express my frustrations and let my feelings be known by my votes in November. Not to mention the fact that I am thankful for the fact that I live in a country where I am free to worship as my conscience dictates.

So there will be no more liberalism for today. Today I will wear patriotic colors, wave Old Glory around, and go to a potluck up in Iowa City where my friends are and we'll celebrate our country's freedom together. I might even call a couple of friends who are long distance right now and wish them a happy 4th. We'll see.

Happy 4th of July, my faithful readers!
